		<content type="html"><![CDATA[<FONT face=Georgia size=2>Woofstock really went to the dogs in a good way on Saturday, &nbsp;June 14th at Beech Lake at Woofstock '08 - A Rally to Rescue.&nbsp; It was sponsored by a group we are proud to be involved with - Companion Pet Rescue (CPR) &nbsp;of West Tennessee. &nbsp;They, along with&nbsp;two other rescue groups in our area,&nbsp;put&nbsp;on a fun festival on the shores of Beech Lake in Lexington raising awareness on a variety of animal issues. <BR><BR><IMG style="WIDTH: 511px; HEIGHT: 572px" height=624 src="http://images.quickblogcast.com/0/5/0/8/1/126489-118050/WoofstockLittleBeagleMix.jpg" width=700 border=0><BR>Look at this adorable face!!&nbsp; <BR><BR>There were so many&nbsp;precious dogs and cats there many of whom are ready for adoption.&nbsp;Thank you&nbsp;to the area for their support of this event and to the media in West Tennessee for helping us spread the word especially WBBJ - TV and WYN 106.9 in Jackson.&nbsp; Animal rescue folks&nbsp;are a brave and tireless group of people dedicated to helping dogs and cats who cannot help themselves.&nbsp; Their stories of sad beginnings and happy endings are amazing!&nbsp;&nbsp; If you know of anyone looking for&nbsp;a family pet, please visit <A href="http://www.tnpetrescue.com/">www.tnpetrescue.com</A> . 		<content type="html"><![CDATA[<FONT face=Georgia size=2>A good time was had by all at Bluesfest.&nbsp; Thanks to all the folks who came and supported this fun event.&nbsp; It's great for Downtown and great for Jackson....Here's our original post below:<BR><BR>Be sure to stop by our booth at the Bluesfest in beautiful Downtown Jackson this weekend!&nbsp; We will be a food vendor both evenings from 5 pm&nbsp;until and are very excited about being a part of this fun festival.&nbsp; We have a great menu planned and will be serving catfish sandwiches and shrimp baskets with slaw and will also have sides available of okra, fried green tomatoes and our famous cracklin' cornbread.&nbsp; We'll have fountain drinks too. Be sure to read the&nbsp;fantastic article in the Jackson Sun newspaper by Wendy Isom and see Amanda Herron's wonderful pictures in the Jackson Sun "Photo Galleries".&nbsp;&nbsp; <A href="http://www.jacksonsun.com/">www.jacksonsun.com</A> <BR><BR><FONT size=3>Here's the information from our first post about Casey Jones Day:<BR></FONT><BR>Admission to the historic Casey Jones Home &amp; Railroad Museum is free from 9 am to 5 pm all day and you can meet Casey Jones' granddaughter and great-granddaughter and great-grandson from 2 to 4 at the Casey Jones Train Store!&nbsp;Wow! 		<content type="html"><![CDATA[<FONT face=Georgia size=2>Many thanks to our hobo friends from around the country who came into town for the Casey Jones Hobo Gathering.&nbsp; We had a great time!&nbsp; Many thanks too for&nbsp;the hospitality extended by Alexandria Place who&nbsp;hosted us to lunch on Friday.&nbsp; The Serenity Singers performed for the residents and that was a real treat.&nbsp; The Serenity Singers also sang at Cheyenne Trace Friday morning so we got the day off to a great start.&nbsp; Friday afternoon we spent the afternoon at the Village and had perfect weather for the campfire that night.&nbsp; Several members of the Plectral Society came and joined in&nbsp;on the musical entertainment.&nbsp; Saturday morning we had a nice ceremony at Casey Jones' gravesite led by Redbird Express who always does a great job.&nbsp; He and Lady Nightingale, Spike and Lady Sonshine (reigning National Queen of the Hobos) all participated in the ceremony.&nbsp;&nbsp; We had a&nbsp;wonderful rest of the day at the Village with the closing campfire Saturday night.&nbsp;&nbsp;Norma and Lawrence Taylor do a great job hosting the event at the Museum that is also sponsored by the Old Country Store. <BR><BR>We would like to thank&nbsp;our friends in the media for covering the Casey Jones Hobo Gathering: WBBJ-TV, the Jackson Sun newspaper, WLJT-TV, American Family Radio, Thomas Media and 101.5 FM.&nbsp;&nbsp; We couldn't thank them enough.&nbsp;&nbsp;<BR><BR>The celebration continues on Casey Jones Day.&nbsp; Scroll down for a full schedule of events on our Events blog....</FONT>]]></content>
