Our October E-Letter!

Happy Fall Y'all!  We are loving this gorgeous weather here in West Tennessee.  We hope you and your family are having a wonderful Fall season too.  Here's the latest on what's happening in the Village.  Y'all come!
Live Music EVERY Thursday Night with the Jackson Area Plectral Society!  When the Plectral Society voted recently to make the Village their Winter home as well as their Summer home our dream came true of having the Plectral Society with us year round.  They are utilizing indoor space at the beautiful Casey Jones Museum on Thursday nights as well as the Old Country Store and Music Highway Crossroads playing old-time music.  A slice of authentic American music.  Weekly from 6:30 pm to 9 pm.  Join us!

Welcome Shannon Blanken!

We're proud to welcome Shannon Blanken this Fall to our Old Country Store family.  She is responsible for Outside Sales through our Sales Office.  She is doing a fantastic job calling on corporate accounts and spreading the word about our myriad of catering services off site and here in the Village.  Shannon is married to Mike Blanken and has three children Lindsey, Mikayla and Adeline.
The Best is Yet to Come!

Since the Old Country Store opened in 1965, we've been blessed to host millions of guests from around the world.  The last couple of years have been especially busy.  New to the Village since 2009 is the 8,000 square foot expansion of Casey Jones Home & Railroad Museum, the 1925 Wellwood country store, the historic Judge Milton Brown railcar, the Village church, the Neil House and this year our latest project, Music Highway Crossroads.

We look forward to hosting an array of events at the charming historic church and this glorious 1837 antebellum home we have been restoring this past year.  They will be opening to the public in Spring of 2012.  We take historic preservation very seriously and are very proud to be the caretakers of these historic treasures.
