MUSIC HIGHWAY CROSSROADS HOSTS SPECIAL MUSICAL EVENTS FRIDAY AND SATURDAY NIGHT:
Katy Bishop Introduces Her New CD to Jackson Friday, September 23rd
Nashville, TN: Jonesboro, Arkansas teenager, Katy Bishop, has made great strides in her music career over the past year. The 17 year old has written songs with some of the best hit songwriters in Nashville, played at world famous songwriter venues and released two CD’s, the most recent of which, Find Yourself, has just hit the shelves and is receiving a great reception in the Nashville music community.
Katy is playing a number of CD Release Parties from Jonesboro to Nashville and will hold one in Jackson, Tennessee at Music Highway Crossroads in Casey Jones Village on Friday, September 23rd starting at 7:00pm. The night will start off with a listening party for the new CD followed by Katy playing live until 9:00pm.
Find Yourself, Katy’s second CD and her first produced entirely in Nashville with A-List musicians and producers contains five songs written with popular Nashville writers and one that she wrote on her own. “We wanted to show everyone that Katy could carry her own weight when it comes to songwriting and that the great songwriters that she’s writing with consider her an equal in the writing room,” said John Haring of Random Music Group, Katy’s manager.

Music Highway Crossroads Saturday
Legendary performers and musicians Carl Mann & Rayburn Anthony will give a special performance at Music Highway Crossroads in Jackson, Tennessee Saturday, September 24th, 2011 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The free show will offer a unique opportunity to hear two of West Tennessee's iconic Rock-a-billy entertainers known and loved around the world who first achieved fame as ground breaking recording artists at Sun Records. They make their home in West Tennessee and both will be featured in upcoming exhibits currently being developed by Music Highway Crossroads.

Music Highway Crossroads is dedicated to preserving the rich musical history of West Tennessee and has live performances each weekend on the "Live at the Crossroads" stage. Open daily, the new venue enables guests to enjoy a variety of music such as blues, gospel, old-time, country and more and has a gift shop with a West Tennessee music theme.
