Alzheimer's Event to be Held at Casey Jones Village
(Jackson, TN) Everyone knows someone who's life has been touched by Alzheimer's Disease. On Thursday, September 29th the community is invited to "Pickin' Apart Alzheimer's", an event to be held in conjunction with Home Instead Senior Care and the Jackson Area Plectral Society. From 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on September 29th a portion of the restaurant sales at the Old Country Store will go toward the Home Instead Senior Care Memory Walk team. They are working toward a team goal of $1,000 in their fundraising efforts for the Memory Walk to End Alzheimer's event to be held on Saturday, October 15th at Pringles Park at 9:00 am. Live old-time musical entertainment will be provided by members of the Jackson Area Plectral Society rain or shine.

The Jackson Area Plectral Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and promotion of old-time string music. They have been having weekly jams at the Old Country Store for over 25 years from Spring to Fall.
