We had an eventful day in the Village. We hosted a gathering of almost 50 museum professionals from around West Tennessee for an organizational meeting for a museum association. It was held at Casey Jones Home & Railroad Museum. Many thanks to Sonia Outlaw-Clark for leading the charge on this gathering, to everyone who attended and to Lawrence & Norma Taylor at the Museum. It was a great start to what we feel will be a bright future for this group.
Tonight we thoroughly enjoyed hosting the beautiful 36 contestants of the Miss Tennessee Scholarship Pageant that is being held in Jackson this week. The competition begins Wednesday and lasts through Saturday. It starts at 8:00 pm each evening at the Carl Perkins Civic Center. We hope they have a wonderful week in Jackson!
