Posted March 14th, 2011: The Legend lives on in Jackson, Tennessee. Today would have been the 148th birthday of Casey Jones, the world's most famous railroad engineer. Be sure to visit the Museum soon if you haven't already. We're open daily at the Casey Jones Home & Railroad Museum from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. The Old Country Store is open daily from 6:30 am - 9:00 pm.
Our Spring Break Museum special gives college students from anywhere who have a valid current college ID an opportunity to tour the Museum for free from March 13th-March 26th, 2011. We hope to welcome a lot of our visiting NAIA teams this week to the Museum and to Casey Jones Village. It's going to be an exciting week as Jackson hosts the National Championship for Division 1 Women's basketball National Championship at Oman Arena.
Mark your calendars for April 30th. We'll be having another free day for all our visitors on Saturday, April 30th as we commemorate Casey Jones' famous last ride and his life and legend.
