It's going to be a special weekend at the Village with Valentine's Day coming up and the Art in the Village event Saturday night from 6 pm to 8 pm. See the earlier blog post for details.
The Church at the Village will be hosting a special musical event at their Sunday morning service as they welcome Bruce Nemerov and Jeff Long February 13th at 10:50 am. Bruce is a Grammy award winning musician, songwriter and recording artist living in Middle Tennessee. He has composed and performed music for film and television. He was an original cast member of Public Radio's comedy show Riders Radio Theatre starring Riders of the Sky and has been a member of Bill Monroe's Bluegrass Boys and Jeannie C. Riley's Harper Valley Band. Bruce now tours as a solo guitarist and as a part of the vocal duet, The Fedora Brothers. Area favorite Jeff Long is well known in Tennessee for his guitar and fiddle skills, his harmony singing and catalog of humorous songs. Don't miss this special event at the Church in the Village located in the Shoppes at Casey Jones Village beside Casey Jones Museum and the Old Country Store. Bruce & Jeff are also appearing Saturday night, February 12th at the Golden Circle Opry at the South Jackson Community Center at Malesus Park on Highway 18 South in Jackson. The show starts at 5:00 pm and also includes Lisa Lambert & The Pine Ridge Boys and Sweetwater. $5.00 per adult donation accepted at the door for the Golden Circle Opry show.
