Sustainable Tourism/Green Workshop September 14th!
The Sustainable Tourism/Green Certification Workshop Tuesday, September 14th, 2010 was a great success! We were proud to welcome Commissioner Susan Whitaker from the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development and a distinguished panel of experts on sustainable tourism and green practices.
Our thanks to Commissioner Whitaker and Commissioner Jim Fyke from the Department of Environment and Conservation for their support of this important project and these workshops across the State. Our great appreciation to the Sustainable Tourism staff Patricia Gray, Lee Curtis and Vionne Williams for coordinating the event. See the link to the agenda below for more details.
It was great to see members of the tourism community in Jackson and West Tennessee come together from all over the area from Paris to Pickwick to Brownsville and McKenzie. We here at Casey Jones Village are proud of the number of projects we have been involved in through the years with heritage sustainability and look forward to pursuing further green practices initiatives.
