The Celebrate Art Festival Saturday
June 12th in Casey Jones Village!
(Jackson, TN) Art in the Village is hosting the Celebrate Art Festival Saturday, June 12th from 10 am to 5 pm in Casey Jones Village featuring over twenty five gallery artists. See local artists at work with painting, pottery demonstrations, portraiture and more. Come interact with these working artists with original, one of a kind artwork for sale at reasonable prices. The festival was to be held a few weeks ago but was rescheduled due to the weather. Art in the Village is a new co-operative art gallery that opened last fall. It was founded by local artists Mary Spellings and Laurie Denbrock and features twenty eight local and regional artists' original work. Deborah Shaw Laman, Casey Jones Village marketing director, said, "Art in the Village is really wonderful as it gives everyone an opportunity to experience the remarkable talents of 28 local artists in one place. These are award winning truly gifted artisans and we are so proud to have their work here in the Village."
The gallery is open Tuesday to Friday from 10:30 am to 5:30 pm and will be open this Saturday featuring various art mediums including watercolors, photographs, acrylics, pastels, pottery, jewelry and mixed media pieces. Art lessons available to students of all ages. Bring a group for a fun "Artist for the Afternoon" experience as each person paints their own masterpiece. Casey Jones Village is located in Jackson, Tennessee on the Highway 45 By-pass at I-40 exit 80A. For more information visit www.caseyjones.com or call 731 - 554 - ARTS (731- 554-2787). |
