Plectral Appreciation Night is Thursday!

Posted October 20th, 2009:

We love having the Plectral Society Club Jam in the Village from April to October.  Sadly, the 2009 season for the Jackson Area Plectral Society is winding down.  The Society is a club of area musicians dedicated to preserving ole-time music and they play each and every week here in Casey Jones Village.

We are hosting a Plectral Appreciation Night on Thursday, October 22nd in appreciation of all they do!  We'd love to have you come join us.  It's supposed to rain but they will play inside the Old Country Store if it's too rainy outside.  Last Thursday they played inside and we had three buses in from out of town. They Loved It!  Come join the fun.

We have a special coupon in the Jackson Sun Wednesday for $2.00 off our Buffet on Thursday night, October 22nd.  Cut it out of the paper and bring it in for this special discount.  The Plectral Society's last regular jam of the season will be October 29th.  During the winter they meet at a local church.

We cannot express how much we appreciate the Jackson Area Plectral Society and our friendship with them for the past 20 years.  They are so supportive of us and give generously of their time and talents.  They are always willing to play at our special events and add such a festive atmosphere to our happenings.  We can't thank them enough.  Special thanks to John and Patsy Few and Coley and Marilyn Graves for their leadership and for all they do.  Besides playing for us, they do so much good in the entire West Tennessee area playing at special events, festivals, charity functions, Senior citizens homes, you name it.  And most of all they are genuinely nice folks.  Come help us honor them Thursday night!
