There's tons of fun ahead in the next few weeks as summer winds down and fall kicks into gear.
  

Saturday night, August 29th Jimmy Stephenson and the Music Highway Band will be in the house for some great dinner music.  Come out on for supper and enjoy!  We're open until 9 at the Old Country Store.

September 3rd the Barnside Room will be the site of  the quarterly Gospel Supper Club show at 6 pm at the Old Country Store. Great Southern Gospel.

Labor Day we are open all weekend!  Bring the family for all American fun with a delicious meal at the Old Country Store breakfast, lunch or supper.  Be sure to take in a tour of our beautiful new "Train Station" addition to the Casey Jones Museum.  The Museum is open from 9 am to 8 pm daily. We think you will love it! The kids LOVE playing in our Thomas the Tank play area in our Train Store. 

The Jackson Area Plectral Society celebrates the Casey Jones Old-Time & Bluegrass Music Festival the second weekend in September.  We're proud to have WYN 106-9 as our media sponsor this year.  The festival has been extended this year to include Thursday night and will feature free jammin' at the Old Country Store on Thursday night and Friday night and as a special treat we will have stage performances all day Saturday from 10 am to 8 pm at the new theatre at Casey Jones Museum.  Bands made up of members of the Jackson Area Plectral Society will be performing throughout the day until the Museum closes at 8 pm. Dates are September 10th, 11th & 12th. Nominal $5.00 fee Saturday, September 12th will include the festival plus Museum admission and tour! 

We're going to the dogs (and that's a good thing!) on Saturday, September 19th with a new event to the Village ~ Woofstock '09.  It going to be a fun pet-friendly day with live music, vendors, pet parade, drawings, demonstrations and more from 10 am to 5 pm at the Casey Jones Village Amphitheatre.  The Elephant Sanctuary will have a representative (not an elephant) from Hohenwald, Tennessee to tell more about their important rescue work.  This  great family event is sponsored by Compantion Pet Rescue and Loving Paws.  Event coordinator Elizabeth Dunn is available for media interviews if anyone would like to learn more.  Email villagepr@gmail.com to schedule. 

October 16th, 17th & 18th - Grand Opening of the Train Station addition at the Casey Jones Museum.  Three day celebration of our beautiful new 8,000 square foot expansion.

November 6th, 7th & 8th - Celtic Fest 09 - Music, vendors, lots of fun!   www.cswt.us   A Friday night concert has been added this year and Sunday has been added to the festival too!  See the Celtic Society of West Tennessee website for all the details. 

Weekly events: 
Mondays - Kids Night & the Granpa Cratchet Puppet Show.  Special price for kids on the buffet.
Tuesdays & Thursdays - Seniors Night from 4 pm to 9 pm.  Special price for Seniors on the buffet.
Thursdays - Jackson Area Plectral Society Club Jam - Begins at 6:30 pm at the OCS.  Lawn chairs welcome.
