Mark your calendars! Here's a preview of ongoing and upcoming events in Casey Jones Village in 2009:
We are open on Mother's Day Sunday, May 10th! Bring your Mom, Grandmother and all the family to celebrate and enjoy a special day together. We're open from 6:30 am to 9 pm at the Old Country Store daily. We only close on Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
Jackson Area Plectral Society Club Jam ~ Live bluegrass music each week on the front porch of Brooks Shaw's Old Country Store. Thursdays from April to October. 56 Casey Jones Lane. Lawn chairs welcome. Free event.

September 11th and 12th - Casey Jones Old-Time Bluegrass Festival Join us for a fun filled weekend at the Casey Jones Old-Time Bluegrass Festival. Brought to you by the Jackson Area Plectral Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of old-time string music. Performances by over 15 bands will include old-time bluegrass, old-time gospel and old-time mountain and folk music. Festival hours are 5 pm to 10 pm on Friday, September 11th and Saturday, September 12th from 10 am to 9 pm. Parking is free. Concessions will be available from Brooks Shaw's Old Country Store. More details will be announced closer to the date.
November 6th,7th & 8th - Celtic Fest A weekend festival celebrating the historic culture of the Celtic Nations. Brought to you by the Celtic Society of West Tennessee. The event this year will begin Friday evening November 6th with a Ceilidh Concert. Saturday November 7th and Sunday November 8th hours are 9:00 am - 4:00 pm. It will be a wonderful weekend of Celtic music, heritage and culture. Brooks Shaw's Old Country Store Christmas Eve Breakfast....Brooks Shaw's Old Country Store in Casey Jones Village plans to celebrate the season Southern style at the 25th annual Christmas Eve Breakfast to be held on Thursday, December 24th. The legendary festivity was selected a Top 20 Event in 2008 by the Southeast Tourism Society.

Each year the Old Country Store Southern breakfast buffet is served from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. for an extra special price on Christmas Eve. As a gift to the city, the buffet is only $3.99 for adults including a hot beverage and children 12 and under are only $1.99 and free for children under 2. The Old Country Store Gift Shoppe will be open until 3 pm.
Attendance each year is around 2,000 people for what has become an annual Christmas Eve tradition among West Tennessee area families. With live music and various festivities, it makes for a memorable family holiday event.
