Posted Thursday, March 19th, 2009: We are so happy to welcome back to Jackson the NAIA Women's Basketball Division 1 National Tournament! Games kicked off yesterday and will continue through the finals next Tuesday evening at the Oman Arena here in Jackson. It's always an exciting week to have teams in town from all over the country and is a wonderful asset to the Jackson community.
We have been proud to be a corporate sponsor for a number of years. It was our distinct privilege this year to be an Honorary Coach. It's an real accomplishment to be one of the 32 teams in the national tournament. Today in first round play "our" girls from Evangel lost by one point in the last second of the game. It was a real thriller and although it was a heartbreaking loss they played their hearts out and we are so proud of them. It was a joy to be a team sponsor this week for Evangel University from Springfield Missouri. We loved being their host. We made new friends in Coach Leon Neal and his wife, assistant coach Dawn Neal and the entire team. We look forward to them coming back to Jackson next year!
