Posted March 11th: The Wellwood Store has arrived! Through rain, hail, sleet or snow we persevered and the Wellwood Store has come to town. It was a sight to see today as the little country store that could made the twenty mile trek to its new home in Casey Jones Village.
Posted Friday, March 6th, 2009: We had more snow than we've had in 40 years "around these parts" this past weekend. It was beautiful! It did delay our move of the Wellwood Store a few days but we will hopefully get it to the Village this next week. We are really excited and will let you know when it arrives. Built in 1925, we are so proud to save this little country store and be able to restore it to its original look and feel. It's the real deal and it's where our founder, Brooks Shaw, worked as a teenager and inspired him to one day start the Old Country Store we know and love today.
Our Jackson Live show has finished it's Winter series and we'll be posted news on our Spring schedule very soon.
Don't forget to bring the kids out to the Old Country Store for Kids Night Monday . Granpa Cratchet will be back in the house for a fun hour with his puppet show at 6 pm. Mondays from 4 pm to 9 pm with each paid adult buffet 2 kids eat free. Whoopee! Everyone loves Granpa and we think you will too.
There is always something fun happening in Casey Jones Village! All live music and events listed are in the Barnside Room at the Old Country Store:

4 pm to 9 pm every Monday is Kids Night ~ With one paid adult Buffet two children eat free from the Buffet. (Dine in restaurant only. Groups over 12 excluded. Free birthday buffet excluded from this offer. Cannot be combined with any other coupon or discount.)

March 12th: Chittlin' Supper. Our last one was such a hit we're having another one. Y'all come! We have one scheduled for April 9th too!
Where: Barnside Room Buffet only...the regular buffet and dessert is not included. The Barnside Room will house the Chittlin' Supper only and the rest of the restaurant will be open as usual with the buffet and menu.
When: 5 pm to 9 pm. Thursday, March 12th.
Cost: $12.00 per person for all you care to eat payable at the door. First come first serve.
Menu: Fried or Boiled Chitterlings, white beans, slaw, loaf bread or cornbread and drink of choice.
