Posted December 31st, 2008: Happy New Year! We hope you have a safe and special New Year's. We will be closing the Old Country Store early to be with our families at 5:30 pm late this afternoon and open at 11 am Thursday on the 1st. We always have a special New Year's lunch buffet complete with the Southern traditional New Year's favorites of black-eyed peas, hog jowl and cabbage. We'll be open all weekend from 6:30 am to 9 pm as usual. Casey Jones Museum will be open from 9 am to 5 pm as usual.
Our Hometown Folks winter special has begun! Be checking the Jackson Sun newspaper ad that ran last Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and today. The coupon will run in the paper on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday until further notice. Be checking the upcoming January issue of the cityNews too for a copy of the coupon.
We have done this special promotion for several years now and this is how it works:
You must have the "Hometown Folks" current coupon from the newspaper or a "Hometown Folks" card you were previously given in the month of December of 2008 in our restaurant. Cards are not being given out now unless you have the current coupon from the newspaper. The special began Monday, December 29th, 2008. Once you have your "Hometown Folks" card you can use it over and over Monday to Thursday until the end of March 2009! It is not good for groups or parties of 12 or more and is dine in only. Drink, tax and gratuity are not included and is not good with any other discount. The complete disclaimers are on the coupon and card.
The offer is:
$5 for the Breakfast Buffet, $6 for the Lunch Buffet and $7 for the Supper Buffet ~
Monday to Thursday through March 31st, 2009.
We have an online ad in the works for the Jackson Sun website too that will begin very soon and run for a week. Be watching for that beginning hopefully tomorrow.
