Posted November 29th, 2008: What a wonderful Open House! We had lots of festivities and two very special guests ~Nancy Howse, Casey Jones' granddaughter, and the Salvation Army. People were there from all over West Tennessee and all over the country traveling to be with family. What a memorable day! Many thanks to Juanita Shaw and the Gift Shoppe staff for all their hard work decorating the Old Country Store and to all our live bluegrass musical entertainment enjoyed throughout the day and graciously provided by our friends with the Jackson Area Plectral Society. Heartfelt appreciation to Nancy Howse who was with Norma Taylor at the Museum from 1 to 3 pm signing autographs. Everyone was delighted to meet her. Many thanks also to our friends in the media from WBBJ TV and the Jackson Sun who came out to cover the event.
