Pictures from the Casey Jones Old-Time Bluegrass Festival!

Posted Sunday, September 14th, 2008:

We had lots of good old-fashioned family fun this weekend with the Casey Jones Old-Time Bluegrass Festival!  There was great music from 18 bands at the Amphitheatre Friday night and all day Saturday followed by church services today hosted by Grace Bible Fellowship's Church at the Village and a wonderful "Dinner on the Grounds" afterwards.

Many thanks to the Jackson Area Plectral Society and Festival Chairs John Few and Coley Graves for all their hard work on the festival and to Grace Bible Fellowship Pastor Bill Williamson and his wife Carol, Juanita and Clark Shaw, Steve and Rebecca Beverly and the fellowship of the entire church for a memorable day.  Due to inclement weather today, festivities were held inside instead of at the Amphitheatre but a great time was had by all with traditional bluegrass gospel music this morning with the Cartwright Family and the Bluegrass Gospel Friends, the church service and then all the incredible home cooked dishes and desserts enjoyed afterwards at the Dinner on the Grounds lunch put on by all the ladies in the church.

Enjoy some pictures below from the weekend...to read more about the festival itself read other posts from earlier this month below:
