Bluegrass Festival Line-up Released!

Here is the lineup of bands below for the Casey Jones Old-Time Bluegrass Festival being held September 12th and 13th at the Casey Jones Village Amphitheatre!  We hope you can join us for all the free family fun!

Note - updated Friday, September 12th - Also many thanks to Steve Bowers for having the Hee Haw Honeys on as guests on his JEA (Jackson Energy Authority) cable telvision show on Channel 6 in Jackson and for having John Few on as a guest on his morning radio show Thursday on 101.5.   We also appreciate Julie Cooke with WYN 106.9 and Thomas Media for having John Few and Raybon Moore on her radio show Thursday afternoon this week and to WBBJ-TV for having Joe Bone on today's Mid-Day News on Channel 7!  We can't thank the local media enough for all their support.  Look for the festival in the "Get Out" section of the Jackson Sun newspaper and also in the Entertainment magazine of the Commercial Appeal in Memphis today and online at the Tennessee Department of Tourist Developement's website www.tnvacation.com

Festival Description: Join us for two days of great old-time music in Jackson, Tennessee at the Casey Jones Old-Time Bluegrass Festival. Admission to the festival will be absolutely free this year with no gate fee charged. Brought to you by the Jackson Area Plectral Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of old-time string music.  Club president is Gene Leggett and Festival Chairs are John Few and Coley Graves.
 
Stage performances by 18 bands at the Casey Jones Village Amphitheatre will include old-time bluegrass, old-time gospel and old-time mountain and folk music. Festival hours are 5 pm to 10 pm on Friday, September 12th and Saturday, September 13th from 10 am to 9 pm at the Casey Jones Village Amphitheatre. Concessions will be available for purchase during the festival from Brooks Shaw's Old Country Store.  The Village includes the award-winning Old Country Store restaurant, the historic Casey Jones Home & Railroad Museum, the Shoppes at Casey Jones Village and Casey Jones Mini-Golf.  Y'all come for a weekend of great family fun in Jackson!  There will also be church services at the Amphitheatre Sunday morning hosted by the Church at the Village.  Gospel bluegrass from 9:30 am to 10:45 am with church service and a gospel sing-a-long at 11 am followed by Dinner on the Grounds with Grace Bible Fellowship's Church at the Village.  For more information call the Old Country Store at 731.668.1223.......
